BEIJING DANCE

A Premiere Chinese Dance Company embarks on it’s first Eastern U.S. tour

The dance group captivated audiences at both the Kennedy Center for the Arts in our nation’s capitol, and the Lincoln Center in the heart of New York City, with their epic stories and beautiful dance numbers.

Showcasing
International Dance

The Beijing Dance Company is one of China’s premier dance & theater groups. During their first tour of the eastern United States, my goal was to capture their mystical essence and energetic performing style and create interest in their performances. Our design team accomplished this by developing a brand identity, engaging online presence, digital signage for venues like Lincoln Center and The JFK Center for the Performing Arts, marquee posters to display in host cities, 5×7 invite cards, and ads in the New York Times and Washington Post.

Capturing the Magic
That Captivates Crowds

Capturing the essence of the production, and to develop a narrative and tone for the project, I designed a bold composition centered around a photo of singular dancer in rehearsal, and used that image to bring the entire campaign to life. This production was grand and beautiful, the dance elements were beyond graceful; it felt as if I were getting a glimpse of another world. It has been said that dance is the movement of the universe concentrated in an individual, in the collateral for Beijing Dance I wanted the viewer to feel as if the universe itself
presented them with this gift.
